Starting my own business has always been a dream of mine. Ever since my first business management class in college I always knew that was what I wanted to do. But what kind of business was always the question in my mind. Then one day I heard the saying, “If you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life.” So I started thinking about what I love and it always came back to memories of my childhood – baking Snickerdoodles with my Granny, watching my dad decorate elaborate wedding cakes, taking a candy making class at a local cake shop with my mom. Plus, I have a major sweet tooth so I am always searching for new recipes to try and satisfy those cravings. That’s when it dawned on me that a candy shop would be the perfect outlet for me to express myself creatively and delight others at the same time. So The Fudge Shack was born.
I decided to add a line of gifts to the shop as well so that people would have the opportunity to combine my treats with other items and make a complete package they can give to others – like a one stop shop. My parents instilled in me for as long as I can remember that you do not buy someone a gift just for the sake of giving them a gift. Instead, you should think about what the other person likes and appreciates and incorporate that into your gift giving. With that in mind, I have hand chosen some unique items to carry in the store that will bring great happiness to just about anyone.
Some of the items we carry:
- Rotating assortment of over 200 flavors of fudge, including sugar free flavors
- Candied nuts
- Chocolate covered nuts, raisins & dried fruits
- Fudge covered caramel apples
- Gift baskets
