GENERAL QUESTIONS
Do you make your fudge and candies in-house?
Yes! We make our fudge using real cream & butter. We use a water insulated kettle that cooks the fudge at a low, consistent temperature which results in seriously smooth, creamy fudge.
We also make the majority of our candies in-store as well using couverture chocolate. This means we are using fine chocolate made from sugar, cocoa solids and cocoa butter. Imitation chocolate like melting wafers or almond bark are made with oils in place of the cocoa butter which can cause a waxy feel and diluted taste.
Do you bake your macarons in-house?
Yes! We bake macarons every day and typically have 12-14 flavors available at all times. We have several standard flavors that we make everyday and MANY rotating flavors.
How long will my fudge last and how do I store it?
Fudge can last quite a long time. The key to keeping it fresh is keeping it air tight. Store it in a plastic bag like a Ziploc at room temperature for best results.
Can you freeze fudge?
Yes! Simply wrap it in air tight plastic or place it in a Ziploc bag and remove as much air as possible. Fudge can safely be kept frozen for up to one year.
Do you offer any gluten free items?
Yes! Our fudge and macarons are naturally gluten free. However, a few flavors do contain gluten due to items added to the fillings, such as Cookies & Cream. Feel free to ask about specific flavors to find out if they are gluten free.
Do you have any sugar free items?
Yes! We offer a variety of sugar free, reduced sugar & no sugar added items. Some of the items we offer are Reduced Sugar fudge, Sugar Free Salt Water Taffy, Sugar Free Turtles, Sugar Free Peanut Butter Cups.
What sugar replacement do you use in your reduced sugar/sugar free items?
The sugar substitute in the fudge is Isomalt which is an FDA approved sugar alcohol. It is lower in calories than regular sugar and low glycemic index. Because Isomalt does not have the same cooking properties as sugar, our fudge does have some actual sugar in it which is why it is labeled as reduced sugar.
Maltitol is another sugar substitute used in most of our sugar free chocolates. It is also sugar alcohol which less calories and a lower glycemic index than regular sugar.
All of our reduced sugar/sugar free items contain labels listing all of their ingredients.
